The World Will be Saved By Western Woman. ~HH the Dalai Lama
You can feel it in your bones. You are being called forth by a powerful force, being called to step into your power as a woman. You want to create and be a part of the shift that is happening on our planet. You want to find your Voice and speak out. You want your life to be relevant, to contribute something meaningful to the transition we are in. And, you don’t quite know where to begin.
“In order to serve the needs of this new era, women must really live who they are without hesitation, and leave behind patterns of insecurity, dependency, and fear that have inhibited them from expressing what they know is real.” ~ Hilary Hart
So how do we discover what is real and express it in the world? By discovering within your own wild and wooly creativity, that source of truth and creation that is an integral part of your design as a woman.
Wildly Creative Women: The Art of Being Unabashedly Female
I invite you to join me to discover your wild creativity, find your voice, and take concrete steps towards your unique vision that is part of the vibrant change that is happening all over the globe.
The Art of Being Unabashedly Female is a curriculum that has been adapted specifically for women from the Stanford University course, Creativity in Business. It is designed for women of all backgrounds and goals. There is only one criteria: you must be ready to open to your deepest creativity and the sacred feminine within you, and willing to step into your own, unique truth and power.
The Art of Being Unabashedly Female – a new 10-week course offered by Wildly Creative Women.
un·a·bashed (ŭn’ə-bāsht’) adj.
1. Not disconcerted or embarrassed; poised.
2. Not concealed or disguised; obvious: unabashedly female!
The Art of being Unabashedly Female is about being what we are…Female, without hiding or disguising any part of ourselves, and finding the joy and peace that come from this.
The Pain of Self-Deception
It seems that human beings are the only beings in nature that try very hard to be something other than what we are. Trees are trees, dogs are dogs, rocks are rocks, but we do everything in our power to be something better than what we believe ourselves to be. We distrust our nature, our innate, intuitive instinctive nature. And, as women, this distrust goes deeper. This drive to be something better can feel even more relentless due to the cultural voices that continually bombard us with messages that tell us our beauty is not enough without enhancement, our emotions must be checked if we are to be taken seriously, and our womanly nature cannot be trusted.
You have lived life pretending to be someone you think others will like better than who and what you believe yourself to be. But, the only way to true peace is to stop trying to be anything other than what you naturally are, and the good news I’m here to share is that when you stop trying to be what you aren’t, just like the tree, dog or rock, who you really are is already there, simply being you. When you do, you will once again know this someone who’s been waiting all along, watching the entire make-believe with patience, love and compassion. This pain and longing won’t go away until you stop and turn to look within.
You may have been taught that there is something fundamentally flawed and sinful about your nature as a woman, but what I have seen is that your nature as a woman is powerful, creative, sensuous, loving and completely and perfectly divine by design. That’s because when you are simply what you are, resplendent in your heart and body, you are a unique expression of that which created you, intelligence far greater than anything your mind could comprehend, an intelligence that does not create flawed and sinful beings.
Putting down the Self-Improvement Project
When you put down the project and stop trying, something happens. When you turn inward to discover who you are, space opens within you, space to rediscover, remember and reclaim the sacredness of your nature that lives and breathes in a female body.
While you may believe creativity is about art and that only some are creative, what I know and teach is that creativity is available to everyone all the time and that it is our doorway to discovering who we really are. When you know you are creative, you discover an internal willingness to look into the mystery within you.
When you meet life with an open heart and a genuine realization you don’t know, the natural drive to know yourself comes from the intelligence and truth of your design, as a creative soul in a woman’s body.
The sacred feminine that you hear so much about in abstract and intellectual ways is alive and breathing right inside your body.
The Power of Being You
You have a part to play in this divine dance of life that is yours and only yours. Your sacred feminine creativity and open heart are needed in our world today. We are being called forth to own our innate power, no longer trading it for the false securities of our cultural conditioning. It is time for us to realize that what we are as women is wholly different than men- this difference serves the natural expression of the masculine rather than competing with it. When you bring together your innate love for the sacred and your deepest desires to see love made manifest in the world, you become a powerful creative force in service to something greater than yourself.
We each hold seeds of wisdom, seeds of creativity and seeds of unconditional love. May you discover yours and sow them consciously and willingly.
